How To Increase Disk Performance (Defrag):

Defragging improves hard disk performance by placing or organizing files on your hard disk in the right order.  This reduces the time it takes your computer to locate and open files.

Steps:

Click Start

Click Programs

Click Accessories

Click System Tools

Click Disk Defragmentation

Select the drive you want to defrag

Click Analyze (Windows 2000 will determine if the drives actually needs to be defragged)

Click Defrag
